If we are looking at anything in your lower body please wear flexible shorts that allow us to examine the particular area of concern.

An hour-long appointment where your physiotherapist will discuss with you the nature of your symptoms, how it behaves and how it has changed. We will gauge the context of these symptoms so be sure not to leave out any details as this helps us be thorough!
Physical Examination:
Your physiotherapist will assess your movement and utilize specific physical tests to aid in your diagnosis. Your physio may also assess surrounding joints and areas for their involvement.
Treatment Plan:
Your physiotherapist will devise a treatment plan based on your examination and the latest available evidence. This plan may include some exercises to complete at home utilizing an app or printed examples!
-
Education:
We will give you a complete, simple terms understanding of your symptoms and why they have started. As well, we will equip you with the tools necessary to continue making changes to your symptoms at home!
Exercise:
A large part of our treatment is getting you to move. This may be in the form of mobility, strengthening, co-ordination/mechanics and balance.
Manual therapy :
This is where we apply joint mobilization techniques for either pain relief or to promote flexibility. These are very rarely high velocity, cracking movements. Rather, gentle pressure to elicit the change we are aiming for. Soft-tissue massage can have a role in pain relief, improving flexibility or decreasing swelling following an acute injury.
-
This is very variable depending on the presentation, the tissue involved, the length of symptoms and the end goal of your rehabilitation. However, the team at Back to Bounce will never have you book unnecessary appointments and will do everything they can to ensure your recovery is as quick as possible!
-
Your physiotherapist will have created a thorough, individualized and evidence-based treatment plan designed to get you better. The best thing you can do is to follow this plan and perform what is asked of you. If you are struggling because of pain or you have forgotten what to do please don’t hesitate to call or email us. We would always rather you ask than leave it until you see your physiotherapist again!

We can. However, there are only a few modes of imaging and presentations that will be fully bulk billed when referred by a physiotherapist.
Any other imaging requests will need to be referred on to your regular GP. Your Physiotherapist will write a letter detailing your examination to your GP and what we feel is necessary to examine via imaging.
-
We offer a wide range of payment options! We can process private health payments on-site at the time of your visit. As well, we welcome Medicare GP Management Care Plans, Department of Veteran Affairs appointments, Work Cover claims and NDIS patients.
