A run assessment is a detailed evaluation of a runner’s biomechanics, movement patterns and strength measures, with the goal of improving performance and reducing the risk of injury. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned athlete, a run assessment provides critical insights into how your body moves and responds to the demands of running.

What’s involved?

In your 45 minute running assessment, we use a software program to capture your running technique from multiple angles which allows us to address any biomechanical errors identified.

In addition, we will assess your strength and jumping, hopping and landing technique using cutting-edge VALD technology. Assessing these metrics helps to identify underlying imbalances or weaknesses which may impact your running performance, recovery and injury risk.

Back to Bounce has state of the art equipment to provide the best assessment for our runners. This includes:

  • Treadmill running gait analysis

  • VALD Force Plates

  • VALD Force Frame

  • Hand-held dynamometry

What do you receive?

Upon completion of your assessment, you will receive a report with an analysis of your running technique with key biomechanical deficits to address, along with a thorough breakdown of your strength testing and jump metrics. We provide recommendations of areas to improve and target to unlock your full running potential.
