Built for Bones Group Class

At Back to Bounce we run several classes a week focused on treating Osteoporosis (OP). Built for Bones is a group class for anyone that has been diagnosed with OP and need help preventing the disease from progressing.

Built for Bones is a customised resistance and exercise program that we’ve developed based on current evidence that has been shown to be osteogenic. Research has indicated that exercise training involving hopping and jumping, together with progressive resistance training can improve bone health in pre/post menopausal women and older men.

OP is unfortunately a surprising common disease in Australia, statistics shows that 23% of women and 6% of men suffer from the disease at any one time. The disease itself causes bones to become thin, weak and fragile, which ultimately increases the chance of fractures if a person with osteoporosis has a fall, falls out of bed, tripping or even a small bump.

If you have experienced the following you may also experience lower bone density:

  • Vitamin D Deficiency

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis

  • Cancer Treatment

  • HRT

If you have been diagnosed with OP from your GP or specialist, come along and join in the fun at the Built for Bones Class. Give us a call on 07 5378 1571 or head to our online booking platform.  Our supportive, knowledgeable and friendly team are passionate about getting you moving again.
